Ms. Melcher Beam offers more than 25 years corporate experience. Throughout her career she routinely negotiated and collaborated to solve complicated problems, advancing to senior levels in corporate marketing, research, and contracting at Proctor & Gamble, Pfizer, and Johnson & Johnson. Her litigation experience spans counseling, detailed research and discovery, trauma-informed interviews and examinations, filing briefs and pleadings, and negotiations. She currently serves on panels serving clients as court-appointed guardian ad litem or counsel in dependency, neglect, and abuse cases in Boone, Gallitan, Harrison, Nicholas, and Pendleton counties.
While in law school Ms. Melcher Beam was selected for the prestegious clerkship sponsored by the National Women’s Law Center and the American Constitution Society. She graduated from Salmon P. Chase College of Law while continuing to raise her three children. She was admitted to the Kentucky Bar the same year. Prior to law school, she obtained her graduate degree from the Patterson School of Diplomacy & International Commerce at the University of Kentucky, and received her undergraduate degree from Miami University. She is currently liscenced in Kentucky where she lives with her husband, their three children, and their rescue cats & dogs. Outside the office and courtroom she enjoys running, gardening, and sailing with her family.

Judge Melcher has more than 50 years of experience practicing law. Throughout his career he worked as an Assistant United States Attorney in the Sixth Circut Court of Appeals; as a partner at Swinford & Sims, PSC; as a District Judge for the 18th Judicial Circuit in Kentucky; as a Circuit Court Judge presiding over the 18th Circuit's first Family Court; and also as Senior Circuit Judge serving many circuits around the Commonwealth.
Judge Melcher is adept in guiding adverse parties to focus on common ground. He was appointed as Special Judge on many occasions to determine complex issues of constitutional law and political conflict. In 2006, he was chosen to preside over criminal charges against Kentucky Governor Ernie Fletcher for hiring decisions made in office. While on the Bench, Judge Melcher initiated the Teen Court, Truancy Court, and Family Drug Court programs, leading the way for countless other courts to follow, and improving the lives of families along the way. He is a member of the Cynthiana Rotary Club, and serves as chair for the Disability Ramp Project. He also volunteers with the Harrison County Food Pantry, the Salvation Army, and the Harrison County Community Fund.
Ashley Beckett graduated from Campbell County High School in 2003. She attended Beckfield College in Florence, Kentucky, and obtained an associate's Degree in Paralegal Studies. She recently became a certified Paralegal and is a member of the Kentucky Paralegal Association. She and her husband Mike share three children and enjoy spending
